Like Jamie, the charity Food for Life believes every child has a right to good, healthy school food, and that food poverty can become a thing of the past. The charity runs a Schools and Early Years Programmes using an awards framework to highlight manageable steps to improve food culture in education settings.
Since 2016, Food for Life has delivered Jamie Oliver’s Kitchen Garden Project – a programme of lesson plans and teaching materials that teach children about veg and fruit – in schools across the UK.
